For everyone that wishes to enjoy a wide range of Community Events, Skagway has it all. Throughout the year our small community (population 1036 in 2014 census estimate) puts on a host of events with the help of many Skagway volunteers!

Skagway Spring Festival: Your cabin fever reliever!

April 20, 2018 - April 22, 2018

Spring is here and Skagway is ready to celebrate the change in season! Join us for a fun weekend of events, including:

Friday, April 20th

8 am – 5 pm Klondike Gold Rush National Historic Park Museum open to the public – FREE

1:30 pm – Bike Maintenance Demonstration at the Skagway Public Library – FREE

4 – 7 pm – Garden City Artisan Market at the Red Onion Saloon’s Bombay Room

5 & 6 pm – RO Brothel Museum Tours – FREE

5 – 7 – Spring Show of Winter Artwork in the AB Hall – FREE

5:30 – 7 pm – Elks Burger Feed Fundraiser

7 pm – Skagway Public Library’s Teen Night – FREE

7 pm – Skagway International Folk Festival at the Eagles Hall – purchase tickets at the door (Skagway Arts Council Event)

Saturday April 21st

9 am – Clean Sweep begins at the Ferry Terminal – Participants enjoy a free lunch and chance to win door prizes after cleaning up the town! (Chamber of Commerce Event) FREE

11 am to 4 pm -Spring Show of Winter Artwork continues (Skagway Arts Council Event) – FREE

1 – 4 pm – Community Rummage Sale at the Presbyterian Fellowship Hall – Contact Lisa for a table. (206) 861-6521

2 pm – Rock Painting for Adults at Bites on Broadway – FREE

2:30 – 4:30 – Beginning Acro Class at the Skagway Recreation Center – $10

Safely learn the basics of a practice that blends yoga, acrobatics and Thai massage. This is a partner practice but no partner needed to sign up. The class is $10 and the payment goes towards the 4 part beginner series starting May 5th.

8:30 pm – Live Music at the Red Onion with Jess & JDot


Sunday April 22nd

2 pm – Rock Painting for Adults at Bites on Broadway – FREE

3 – 4:15 pm – Gentle Flow Yoga at the Skagway Recreation Center – $8 for non-members

A gentle and calming practice for all levels. Especially good for beginners.

3 – 5 pm Piano Sunday at the Library

Do you wish you had a piano and miss playing? Join us! Come and play by the book, by memory or by ear. All experienced players are invited and welcome to take turns playing the Chickering Parlor Grand Piano that is generously on loan to the library.
